Re-imagining Christmas 2016

Merry Christmas 2018

You'll recognize your neighbor. I shot these in 2016. He's been doing this for a very long time right up to today.

Mid-Term Elections

Long time thought

How is it that in America we're being convinced that a ballot requires a more stringent background check
than a gun.

Aliens Make Contact

The Judeo-Christian scriptures connects the eagle with those who hope in God.
Dante's 700 birthday.

The 100th anniversary of pre-paid American stamps.

My blog reached well over 100 countries and still attracts a diverse number of countries each day. I hope and await for the moment that the Most Serene Republic of San Marino appears in the audience entry/stats. It's the memory of their postage stamps discovered on the back of a comic book for twenty-five cents.  I, however, have something more exciting, alien contact.
It first happened back in late July and then again on August 3rd. Two nights ago it happened again.
I look at my blog stats one or twice a month. It's a routine. What was not routine was the audience entry.  There before my very eyes just below the USA entry was Unknown Region.
One hundred eighty-two visit from the unknown region.     Look for yourself.

This gives new meaning for our government's need to create a new military branch, the Space Force.  "Operation Skyhook" must be reactivated with the newest technology, facilities and the needed manpower. We must defend our nation from aliens infiltrating our internet. We must tell our Congress and Senate to open the purse strings and give what is needed to defend our nation. It will also, as a benefit, create maybe one thousand new jobs or more.
God Bless America.

Im Sorry

I'm Sorry

I'm sorry I leave you
something I must find
You have it You hide it
something you deny

Wild love calls your name
Wild love still remains

What held you What holds you
now you let it go
I'm sorry I leave you
will you follow

Wild love calls your name
Wild love still remains

Still it's true the want you stir in me
restlessly, wanting you the way I do

Everything you want
I want it too
Everything

I'm sorry

I'm sorry I want you
like you always knew
I'm sorry I'm faithful
only wanting you

I'm sorry

There's a war going on.

Is it interesting tearing apart the spontenaity of art with peices of a carefully crafted image that sells the senses? I'm detached.
Photographs of passion and desire, songs of flames and raging fire hang around the last round fighting myself and my shadows. It became harder to frame time in an interesting way.
Who am I when I have no mirror?

I need a muse.

Preserving Fishtown's Churches

We done well

Fishtown is doing well in preserving its old churches from demolition. They have been converted into office space, studio, homes and apartments. The trade off was unwelcomed density which is becoming unbridgeable for Fishtown residents.
On the other hand these churches sat vacant or could no longer support themselves with the sharp decline of parishioners and for other reasons. These churches are a part of Fishtown history and its development with much honest sentimental feelings, but things change.
Fishtown only lost one church in recent time: Pilgrim Congregational United Church Of Christ at Belgrade and Marlborough. Update! St Laurentius is designated for demolishtion.
Preservation can also include the elements of compromise and leverage. An empty church can't stand alone because things change as do the options.

Episcopal Emmanuel Church on Marlborough St just above Girard Avenue.

East Montgomery Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church 1875 by Frankford Ave.
