Historic Palmer Cemetery

A tribute for contribution

The serenity of Palmer Cemetery is shared by those who have passed and our daily Fishtown Community. Present day generation's have family members there at rest. We have neighbors memorialized that touched all of our hearts. The passing years have seen many soldiers finding their final rest here at home. Memorial Day is faithfully observed and honored by the Elm Tree Post No. 88, The American Legion and us Fishtown neighbors. Every year a Christmas tree joyfully light's up for everyone as the children's choir sings. Nature's seasonal beauty reveals itself here in the heart of Fishtown at Palmer Cemetery.

Historic Palmer Cemetery is a 501c3 Non Profit seeking your help in raising funds to help defray the cost of maintaining and caring for this piece of Philadelphia History.

Sometimes it's The Way It's Said

Sometimes it's the way it's heard

She shouted, "Go to hell."

It scared me.

It sounded like a marriage proposal.

Going To A Go-Go

You get a video

I live a double life of fact and façade

satisfied by no known standards when everything is new.

Again, everything is new that I once went through before.

My postscripts became longer than the letters I write.

Is it something I forgot? Is it something I remember?

It was that elder gentleman sweeping around the cemetery who had the best timing to drop the F-bomb where needed in our conversation. Neither one of us flinched.

Forget about that other stuff I wrote.

My Two Cents

 Keep the change

I have my moments when photographing something or someone. So do others. Facebook is the place to get your fill of a wide range of various quality and topical photos. One aspect of all of this is now and then my eye (aka ego) sees things differently than the original composition. It's "looking at clouds" as I define it. i.e. "Look at that cloud...do you see..." It's something I've been doing for my shots for years.

I acknowledge that doing this falls in the "who asked for your two cents" boundaries.  I tell people that it's my genetic condition, creativity. No one has ever complained, not even me. I'm confident in doing this and the kindness of folks who don't comment because of my community stature. e.g. "he's not hurting anyone....some of them's nice."

I offer you no examples because they're not my pictures. It'd be like sampling and bragging that it's my own creation. I just show what's already there, beautiful things.
