 this day

Dinner at eight. It was a bit later and I served myself. She was silent when I got up to do so. Our conversation was whirling as fast as the ceiling fans just before that. It had to do with the Aussie vs Greek Wimbledon match, with Nadal segments, and then the Phillies and Cards came on. Hers' tennis, not baseball. She said she wasn't hungry in the whirl. 

It, for me, was a day about not thinking about the things on my mind while there was conversation and food. But before all that, I went to the supermarket. I needed, say, six items and went blank on getting some chocolate milk. I was getting some cakes. It would have been perfect. I did get sherbet. It goes good with Chinese food and not so much the eggplant. 

Her kiss while leaving out the door was as good as what you didn't see. It's to the point and not like three paragraphs of a Fabio romance novel. I was putting my hand on the door knob that she stood next to and didn't need a paragraph, two words, come here.

Holy Name of Jesus 

The Fishtown church at Gaul and Berks St needs broad community support to restore, secure and maintain it's colorful stain glass windows. Fishtown lost St Laurentius' beautiful stained glass windows and twelve original - now priceless - oil paintings on canvas portraying treasured scenes from the life of Christ and His Saints to the coming wrecking ball.
The times are difficult and for many in their thoughts. These times have not overshadowed long standing concern of Fishtown's neighborhood history and beauty worth preserving.

A treasure to behold

Holy Name of Jesus' stained glass windows are beautiful. The changing position of the sun, throughout the day, reveals their richness of color and gentleness. The church windows tell a story without the need for words. They profess the meaningfulness of life's joy and sorrow that is common in our own lives.  Faith, Hope and Charity is found in twenty-four windows of the Saints high up near the ceiling : St Albert the Great, St Rose of Lima, St Anthony, St. Mary Magdalene and both St Bridget and St Patrick among many more.
There are over fifty beautiful stained glass windows deserving of care.

These windows above the altar need to be structurally sound. They are in danger of being dislodged by nature's elements

Miserable Mom's Single, Ex's and Wrecks

Boldly Post Your Imperfection 

Miserable Mom Groups, as I call them, are all over Facebook. I had to look them up because I just don't get it. Some MiMo meme's highlights what a mom is feeling most miserable about which is usually a body part to start off with. It then seems to glorify it somehow as a strength and likely mixed in with a bunch of other issues like buying new cloths for the kids and not themselves. I don't get it. How does it help? Why keep reminding people that you're ugly?
As a guy, I say don't bother with a women like that. Their mind is made up and there's nothing nice or meaningful you can say to them. How did professing self loathing become a badge of honor?
I guess it's a way for the women to say she gave up. To bad it don't sound any better than that.
